Guy Pouzol has been very early attracted by the contemporary art and especially by the plastic arts since the 80’s.

After many travels in the Cyclades and the « discovery » of the island of Naxos, he decides to stay there and devote his time to the ar- tistic development opening an Art Gallery.

In this period it was a big challenge to make the contemporary art known in Naxos.
Nevertheless the Monastery of Naxos, superb building on the top of the Castro, was welcoming artists living and working there for many months.
Thus they were able to create works of art of a big format having a great freedom of expression.

During these years Guy Pouzol has been known through his exhibitions of paintings (Expressionist, Abstract, Figurative) and sculptures (Marble, Bronze, Ceramic). Works sometimes disconcerting, but always guided by emotion.
He participates in numerous international trade fairs, always on the lookout for new projects.. Since the beginning, Guy Pouzol presented numerous artists, renowned or emerging, who today are part of the History.
